Compassionate Counseling
Nichol is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience working with a wide variety of clients. He has worked in both out-patient and residential settings. Nichol strives to meet clients where they are at and incorporates an eclectic mix of therapeutic modalities that include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Family Systems Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Brainspotting.

Rates
All session are billed by credit card the day the session occurs. While Cold River Counseling, PLLC is willing to provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for out-of-network coverage when appropriate, we will not communicate with insurance companies or bill on your behalf.

Initial Intake Session
Our first session will require some assessment to be completed by you, and a chance for us to really get to know you and dive into what we will be working on together.

Individual Therapy
For individuals to process and explore their thoughts, challenges etc. Typically, meetings are weekly or bi-weekly.

Family Therapy
This is a chance to help families look at their patterns together. This is often done for an adolescent that I am seeing individually with their family system. There can be time with parents separately from the adolescent as part of this hour as deemed clinically appropriate.

Parenting session
One of my passions is helping parents look at their patterns and help them discover how to be the best parent for their child. These sessions can be done with individuals or parenting teams.

Case Management
I am always happy to collaborate with providers, assist with placements, have a brief discussion about something between sessions etc. This is billed in 15 minute increments.
